About Us

The Charter Revision Commission of the Town of Ridgefield was formed (and has been convened every four years in the past) to reexamine the Charter of our town. The Commission conferred with the various Town government agencies and held public meetings in order to consider possible changes to the Charter of the Town of Ridgefield.  As a result of these meetings, the Charter Revision Commission presented to the Board of Selectmen their proposed changes to the Town Charter.  These changes were approved by the Board of Selectmen at their July 12, 2006 meeting and then sent to the voters for approval on election day, November 7, 2006.  All changes were approved by the residents of the Town of Ridgefield.
