The administration of the day-to-day affairs of Ridgefield is led by the First Selectman, Rudy Marconi , with policy set by the five-member Board of Selectmen comprised of Mr. Marconi and Selectmen Barbara Manners , Joan Plock ,  Andrew Bodner  and Di Masters . The Board of Selectmen also appoint members to all non-elected commissions and committees in the Town.

The First Selectman is a full-time salaried position; the remaining Selectmen are unsalaried. The First Selectman also serves as ex-officio member of all Town boards, committees and commissions.
