About Us
- The WPCA is responsible for:
- Oversight of the activities of United Water, the contract operators of the treatment plants.
- Ongoing approval for use unit allocations and new hook-ups.
- Setting of sewer use rates.
- Finalization of an accurate statement of operation and balance sheet for the WPCA.
Other recent activities have included:
- Ridgefield Middle School Force Main and Pump Station project of approximately 20,400 linear feet of 6-inch force main, a two stage submersible/dry pit pump station, a standby emergency generator and generator building.
- Sewer cleaning and video services (compatible with GIS) of entire collection system over 5 year period.
- Copps Hill pump station and South Street WWTF Influent pump station replacement.
- Rehabilitation of sewers and manholes in Sewer District 1.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the THIRD Wednesday of every month.
The May 20, 2009 meeting has been canceled.
