Regular Meeting
- Approval of Minutes
Motion to approve the minutes of April 11, 2006 by Ms. Siebert, seconded by Mr. Hill, passing unanimously.
- Aquarion Report
- Mr. Pereira presented the monthly report. The facility fully met compliance for the samples collected for the month of April.
- The WPCA administrator has requested specification sheets on all cleaning/waxing products from the Board of Education, Housing Authority and other area establishments on products used that may contain Zinc.
- Discussed damaged manholes near Casagmo and Griffin Lane and remediation of problem areas.
- Metcalf & Eddy Report
- Mr. Pearson sent Estimate No. 6 Invoice from Kovacs Construction Corp. ($116,012.50) for payment.
- Discussed status of Copps Hill pump station. Section of damaged pipe from the existing force main to the temporary bypass piping was replaced on a time and materials basis.
- Project completion date may be delayed because of conditions encountered on site and equipment delays.
- M&E sent the agreement for engineering service in connection with the South Street Wastewater Treatment Facility to provide assistance in addressing the recent occurrence of the influent flow rate and also to include our Zinc levels. Mr. Pearson and Mr. Caldwell have come to an agreement on the proposal for approval by the Authority.
- Other Business
- Collections were discussed. Sewer taxes on the Corner Pub are up to date.
- Litigation was discussed. The Authority is waiting for a reply from the Town’s attorney on 21 Ramapoo Road.
