The Office of the Town Engineer is headed by Charles R. Fisher. They are committed to improving the quality of life throughout the community by enhancing and protecting the Town’s infrastructure and buildings by fostering teamwork with the public and all Town Departments.

The Office of the Town Engineer provides professional engineering services to all phases of town government. In addition to providing support to the Board of Selectmen, the Town Engineer advises the Planning and Zoning Commission, Conservation Commission, the Water Pollution Control Authority, and the Police Commission on engineering matters.

Storm drainage construction, sewer construction, road way construction, sidewalk rehabilitation projects and other capital construction projects are designed, constructed and administered by the Town Engineer. Learn more about these procedures by using this link.

The Office of the Town Engineer also has an active mapping division and is responsible for the maintenance of all town buildings including the exterior of all schools.
