About Us

The Police Department is responsible for the safety and well being of over 23,000 residents. We monitor the 35 square miles of Ridgefield which borders the New York towns of Lewisboro, Brewster and North Salem and the Connecticut towns of Wilton, Redding and Danbury. We also administer many Community Programs such as DARE, GRADD and Neighborhood Watch.

The Police Department is under the command of Chief John Roche, and consists of:
     One Major,  Three Captains
     Five Lieutenants, Five Sergeants
     Twenty-seven Officers, Seven Civilians
