Land Records & Survey Maps
The Town Clerks Office is responsible for the filing of all land records.
Recording Documents
$53 first page, $5 for each additional page
$2 each property transfer reportable to the state
$10 Maps of two parcels or less
$20 Maps more than two parcels
Copies
$1 per page for copies of documents
$3 map copy, $5 scale/blue line map copy
$2 per document certified copies
$10 hand-held scanner usage (Effective October 1, 2009 fee will increase to $20)
State Conveyance Tax
Residential dwelling or property and unimproved land that is less than $800,000.
Consideration x .005 = tax amount
Portion of residential dwelling or property and unimproved land that exceed $800,000.
Consideration x .01 = tax amount
Checks made payable to Commissioner of Revenue Services
Local Conveyance Tax
Consideration x .0025 = tax amount
Checks made payable to Ridgefield Town Clerk
