Fish & Game Licenses
Licenses to hunt, trap or fish, or any combination of these, are issued by the Office of the Town Clerk.
Hunting licenses may only be issued to a person who has held a resident license to hunt with firearms within five years from the date of the application OR presents a certificate of competency issued after the completion of the required course in safe hunting practices and the use of hunting weapons. (A minor, ages 12-15, may hunt with firearms or bows if such minor holds a junior firearms hunting or junior archery license, and is accompanied by a person over 18 years of age.)
Pheasant Tags are issued to anyone possessing a valid firearms or archery license.
Migratory Bird Stamps are available to applicants 16 years of age or older.
Migratory Bird Harvest Information Program (H.I.P.): Persons hunting ducks, geese, brant, woodcock, rails, snipes and coots are required to obtain a HIP permit from the Town Clerk.
